Perks of Being a Wallflower and the Love that we Deserve

Perks of Being a Wallflower and the Love that we Deserve

The supposed to be 2 hour movie was longer because there’s so many lines worth jotting down.

But these are the best ones,

Charlie: Why do nice people choose the wrong people to date?

Bill: Well, we accept the love we think we deserve.

Charlie: Can we make them know that they deserve more?

Bill: We can try.

Sometimes our own idea of love and the mere pressure that society gives to every relationship, we choose to settle for less. We choose comfort over dreams.

We choose to stay because we’re too afraid to dip both feet to uncertainty.

Sam: You can’t just sit there and put everybody’s lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love.

However, if you ever find a guy who reads every blog you wrote, or listen to your written songs, appreciate you like a piece of art, then don’t ever let go of his hand.

Charlie: I know who you are, Sam. I know I’m quiet… and, and I know I should speak more. But if you knew the things that were in my head most of the time, you’d know what it really meant. How, how much we’re alike, and how we’ve been through the same things… and you’re not small. You’re beautiful.

He is just the right taste of music you would love to hear all through your life. The right set of songs in your mixtape and the one you would love to crazy things with.

[She hugs him]

Sam: C’mon. Lets go be psychos together!

You’ll just know it.

Because the right love will push you too hard to do better and have bigger dreams for yourself.

Charlie: You are alive, and you stand up and see the lights on the buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And you’re listening to that song and that drive with the people you love most in this world.

And in this moment I swear, we are infinite.

It spurs to embrace the unknown without fear, without doubts –to live in the moment and to love and be loved the most.

== I guess that’s the kind of love we deserve. ==

Playing It Cool Movie [When Mr. Scriptwriter Finally Believes in LOve?]

play it cool cute.png

2am and I’m good as the lady who can swing hips for an hour taebo. It’s kind of alien-ish to stay up this late, watching a movie, shedding tears for every single drama encountered and scratching my snobbish cat’s tummy.

Well, they say, all great sparkling splendid ideas come to life at 2am. I say that’s what happens technically if you start browsing for 2015 movies at 11 and end up watching it at 12 midnight. (Munching bread..no carbs reminder please..I’m enjoying so much)

So where was I. Oh. Playing It Cool. Yeah, that’s the title already your reading. 🙂

Actually, it’s a hilarious and intellectual romcom movie. You see, it’s my well-liked genre. A mixture of laughter, sex, love, and lessons.

Playing it cool really was a good title for it.

So here it is! The GUY (first person point of view, so I don’t know his name on the movie) a screenplay writer who had traumatic experience since his mother and father split up. It was actually tolerable then, not until one day, he woke up and one box of cereal changed his life — yes cereal.ruined.life.

Glued to the box, was a sticky note from his mother saying ‘I love you’ and that she’s moving into Chile to some other guy. He was left behind taken care by his Grand Dad and an obscene babysitter.

Well, I guess that explains it! Explains what?  He grew up theorizing that love doesn’t actually exist. It starts off with a drink and conversation with some stranger girl at the bar, then to the jerking up and down and end himself with bruises because most of his dates were actually committed.

So his next project is a touch challenge. He was actually assigned to write a romantic comedy script and he was perfectly clueless what to wr–it-e. As he defines love and romance, all related to hormones and sexual needs of a person.

Ooh. This guy is bound to be alone. Not to mention all the slaps he got from jilting girls. Ohh I know this common line they used to say. Tsktsk.

Until one day, one woman made the difference.

love

One woman who would make his jaw’s dropped to the ground. The funny, intellectual lad seems to share an interest with him.

At first, it was just some sort of experiment though. At least that would help him finish the script. If he gets chances of exploring this love thingy then maybe he’ll have more to add ideas to add on. But then, when your heart smokes. I mean when your heart finally gives in to feet tapping feeling.

He realized that he finally found the girl she wants to do random things to, the ‘more than sex’ type, someone who delays his thinking. Oh boy, our writer seems to be love blocked!

Too bad, she’s engaged.

Watch this romantic comedy movie and you’ll find your way to believe in electrifying shocks of love! Sounds cheesy but you’ll know what I’m saying. 😉

Quote from the movie:

I’m gonna tell you this one from my point of view so you can put yourself in there.

So the story goes: The guy falls in love with a girl, the second he meets her, but it takes them a lifetime to get it together.

When they do end up on a boat and they realise the only way they can stay together is to never to go ashore.

So they raise the yellow colour flag so no port would take them and they drift out to sea ’til the end.

And it makes you realize there are people in your life so important that they dwarf everything else.

It’s up to you to figure out who they are. If you have to give up everything else and spend the rest of your days on a boat, who are the must haves, the ones you can’t live without?

Figure out your own list and then do everything you can to let them know how much they mean to you.

Ciao!

By the way, here’s the link! Enjoy!

The Craziest Love Story You Shouldn’t Missed: Silver Linings Playbook

Silver Linings Playbook

The world will break your heart ten ways to Sunday. That’s guaranteed. I can’t begin to explain that. Or the craziness inside myself and everyone else. But guess what? Sunday’s my favorite day again. I think of what everyone did for me, and I feel like a very lucky guy.

Pat on Silver Linings Playbook

Pat came from a haunting nostalgia of clutter inner clothes of both man and a woman, his wedding song playing on a cassette and like breadcrumbs he followed the trail and saw his wife’s infidelity. Seeing her being caressed by another guy is decomposing — almost crushed him to death. But like the dawn, his sight almost dark with anger he just had to get even.

For a man being cheated, it was a natural reaction for Pat to almost kill the lover with his fist.  The man was actually an old professor of the same local high school he is working too. Degrading as you thought might be, he didn’t do it to defend his ego rather it was all for his blind love to his wife Nikki.

After the incident, Pat was diagnosed with Bipolar and had to undergo therapies. After a few months, With the help of his mother, the court had released their judgment and free him out of the mental institution. This was the chance. Pat thought he wanted to take all his chances, on getting back on Nikki and maybe iron things out.

He was hopeful, that he reads all the books Nikki would want him read, and loose weight just what as she said before the confrontation happened –he was hopeful that maybe, just maybe they could start out again and build their family.

Then one day, while his busy contemplating and still on the process of controlling his manic behavior, here comes another headache. Tiffany. A smart woman, also diagnosed with bipolar, whom husband died for buying her lingerie and stopping over the road to help a man and accidentally hit by a car.

Well, faith really plays the game well. They were set up for a dinner and was introduced awkwardly. Then they found themselves talking and laughing over mood stabilizers. Yes, that is weird. However, the dinner went well as Tiffany made a petty discussion with her sister Veronica. Pat though hesitant had to force himself to walk home with the lunatic lass.

The next day, Pat made his daily routine jog and half intentional on passing on Tiff’s house which became the start of annoying days — and weeks and more.

As Pat’s doctor advised him to befriend Tiffany knowing that her sister Veronica was Nikki’s best friend. She might be able to help him bridge out to her. Now that, he has already had a restraining order, he badly needs help, whatever it takes.

As she invited Tiffany for dinner with raisin bran cereal and tea, she resolved to help him deliver a letter. And the deal was closed.

But like her frequent mood swings, Tiffany changes her mind the day after.

She was only to give Nikki the letter, if and only if, he joins her in a dance contest.

Who could have thought that two crazy people, literally crazy, would one day meet, converse unusually and finally found that the waltz and rhythm to heal their broken past was to have each other?

Will they ever go to see the silver linings behind the clouds?

Silver Linings Playbook

It’s supposed to be a review but I was bound speechless by this movie especially when Bradley Cooper did the silliest yet the sexiest dance. Kudos! An unconventional love story that will make you laugh from start til the end.  Excelsior! 🙂
